LNG's 20-year greenhouse gas footprint found to be 30% more than coal's: Study

LNG leaves a greenhouse gas footprint significantly higher than coal over a 20-year period, according to a new study. This footprint, driven primarily by methane emissions during extraction and liquefaction, remains equal to or worse than coal even over 100 years, challenging its label as a cleaner energy source.
